Information on data processing pursuant to art. 13 of EU Regulation 2016/679 (“GDPR”)

Data controller

We inform you that your personal data will be processed by Associazione Sanità di Frontiera Onlus, as the Data Controller (thereinafter referred to as the “Controller” or “SDF”) pursuant to EU Regulation 679/2016 (thereinafter referred to as the “Regulation”). Types of data being processed

The Controller will process your personal data collected in the context of the requested services including, by way of example and not limited to, name, surname, mobile phone number, e-mail address.

Purpose, legal basis and optional nature of the processing

Your personal data will be processed for the following purposes:

  1. performance of the requested services;
  2. fulfilment of any legal obligations.

The legal bases of the processing for the purposes as by a) and b) are articles 6.1.b) and 6.1.c) of the Regulations respectively. The provision of your personal data for the purposes as by a) and b) indicated above is optional but failing to provide such data will lead to the impossibility to perform the required services.

Furthermore, your personal data will be processed, upon your specific consent, for the following purposes:

c) promotional and marketing communications relating to training courses and/or other initiatives related to the activity of SDF or its commercial partners, including sending newsletters and market research, through automated tools (text messages, MMS messages, emails, push notifications, fax, automated calling systems without human intervention, use of social networks) and traditional tools (paper mail, phone help lines).

d) communicating your personal data to companies the Controller has established commercial agreements and/or covenants with, which fall under the following categories: professionals, communication and marketing companies or organizations; professionals, companies or organizations operating in the legal, tax/fiscal, financial, accounting/administrative, insurance, training, IT/technology sectors; professionals, companies or organizations operating in the social-humanitarian field; professionals, companies or organizations operating in the real estate field and in related areas; professionals, companies or organizations operating in the field of television and film productions; professionals, companies or organizations of the healthcare, medical/pharmaceutical sectors and personal and leisure service providers, for their direct marketing purposes through automated tools or traditional tools.

If you wish to object to the processing of your data for the marketing purposes carried out by using the means indicated herein, as well as to revoke the given consent, you may do so at any time by contacting the Controller at the contact details indicated in this disclosure, without prejudice to the lawfulness of the processing based on consent given before revocation.

e) carrying out statistical-scientific surveys on behalf of the Controller relating to the medical and health care sectors and the well-being of citizens.

f) performing profiling activities aimed at improving the quality of the services delivered and the adequacy of the commercial communications to your preferences.

The legal basis of the processing for purposes as by c), d), e) and f) is art. 6.1.a) of the Regulation.

The provision of your personal data for the purposes referred to in letters c), d), e) and f) indicated above is optional; there will be no consequences in the event you refuse to do so.

Recipients and transmission of personal data

Your personal data may be shared with:

  • natural persons authorized by the Controller to process personal data pursuant to art. 29 of the Regulation due to the performance of their work duties e.g. employees and system administrators, etc.;
  • service providers such as lawyers, accountants, consultants, credit institutions, etc. who typically act as data controllers pursuant to art. 28 of the Regulation or as independent data controllers;
  • subjects, organizations or authorities to whom you are obliged to communicate your personal data by virtue of provisions laid down by law or by orders of the authorities;
  • upon your consent, partners whom the Controller has established commercial agreements and/or covenants with, which fall under the following categories: professionals, communication and marketing companies or organizations; professionals, companies or organizations operating in the legal, tax/fiscal, financial, accounting/administrative, insurance, training, IT/technology sectors; professionals, companies or organizations operating in the social-humanitarian field; professionals, companies or organizations operating in the real estate field and in related areas; professionals, companies or organizations operating in the field of television and film productions; professionals, companies or organizations of the healthcare, medical/pharmaceutical sectors and personal and leisure service providers, for their direct marketing purposes.

Transmission of personal data outside the EU

As regards the possible transmission of Data to Third Countries, the Controller informs that the processing will take place according to one of the methods provided by the law in force, such as the consent of the data subject, the adoption of Standard Clauses approved by the European Commission, the selection of subjects adhering to international programs for the free circulation of data or operating in countries the European Commission considers to be safe. Data retention

Your personal data will be stored for the time strictly necessary to achieve the purposes they are collected for, in compliance with the principles of minimization pursuant to art. 5, paragraph 1, letter c) of the Regulation. In any case, your personal data will be retained for the time necessary to perform the requested services. This is without prejudice to further retention envisaged by the applicable legislation. Methods of data processing

With reference to the aforementioned purposes, the processing of personal data takes place by means of manual, IT and telematic tools according to a rationale that is strictly related to the purposes and however, in such a way as to guarantee the security and confidentiality of the data, as well as the compliance with specific obligations as set out in the law in force.

Your privacy rights

You are entitled to ask the Controller, at any time, for access to your Personal Data, its correction or cancellation, or to object to its processing; you are entitled to request restriction of processing in the cases provided for by art. 18 of the Regulation, to revoke the consent given as by art. 7 of the Regulation; to obtain your personal data in a structured, commonly used and readable format from an automatic device in the cases provided for by art. 20 of the Regulation, as well as to lodge a complaint to the competent supervisory authority (Data Protection Authority) pursuant to art. 77 of the Regulation, if you consider that the processing of your data is contrary to the legislation in force.

If you disagree with the processing of your data, you can make a request pursuant to Article 21 of the Regulation where you can emphasise the reasons which justify your disagreement: the Controller reserves the right to examine your request, which would not be accepted in the event legitimate and imperative grounds existed to proceed to the processing, which override your interests, rights and freedoms.
